At The Beach [Open]
Jun. 27th, 2014 05:59 amGenevieve had decided that Siren Cove wasn't all that awful. So far her experiences with the town had been pretty positive although she wasn't sure how long that would last. It was small and compared to New Orleans it wasn't much but she thought it had potential.
Today she had decided to see what the beach was like. Fortunately she had come from a beach side town and so she already owned a swimsuit, a nice red eye-catching bikini, so she didn't have to use any of her meager savings on it. Unfortunately the beach was far, far too crowded for her tastes.
Luckily she could do something about that. Standing at the top of the sand Genevieve reached out with her power, feeling the energies of the weather, the raw natural power of it right at her fingertips. She gathered the storm clouds to her, commanding all that energy and bending it to her will. Big things like this were easy, the more power it took the easier she could control it. A steady rain didn't take any of the fine control she lacked, although there was always the risk that she could put too much into it and the storm would get away from her.
This time she managed to hang onto it though, drenching the beach goers until the majority decided waiting it out wasn't the wisest choice. Once most of them had cleared out Genevieve grinned and pushed the storm away. For one terrifying moment she struggled with it, the storm threatening to turn into something bigger and more devastating, her own power feeding it and giving it a greater life than she had intended.
Genevieve was every bit as stubborn as she was wild though and she wrestled control of it back before dispersing it, breathing a sigh of relief as the sun shone brightly on the beach once again. Smiling smugly to herself, Genevieve went to claim some now empty prime beach real estate to work on her tan and go for a swim.
